
The National Insurance provides a disability allowance to parents of disabled children, children with chronic diseases, developmental delay and various disorders, in accordance with the National Insurance regulations.
For example, children with serious illnesses, allergies, epilepsy, speech disorders, intellectual developmental disabilities, cerebral palsy, rare syndromes, behavior problems, attention deficit disorder, etc., can be entitled to a disabled child's allowance, for a temporary period or until the age of 18, at a variable allowance rate.

Child of an insured who is a resident of Israel. If it is a new immigrant child who immigrated without his parents, he may be entitled to an allowance provided he immigrated with a guardian or a family member.

The child stays in Israel, unless he stays abroad for various reasons listed.

The child stays at home and is not in an institution under boarding conditions where rehabilitation, nursing and healing services are provided. Under certain conditions, the parents will receive a disability allowance despite the above.

A child who is hospitalized for more than a year will have his eligibility for continuation of allowance checked.

A parent of a child in foster care is not entitled to a disabled child's allowance. The foster family is entitled to a monthly payment from the Ministry of Welfare.
